Written inspirations
I will forever be working on becoming that which I am not.

In dreams
A face in the cloud, A mouth too far
A kissless touch, a touchless kiss
Rested and Breasted, In sacred lying
I met her there, descended and deep
An insane death of freeing breath
Her face I did find, hidden and closed
When finished and spent, bodily unknown
A fantasy, a dream, a condemning cry
Of that primal desire, that yearning ache
The emotional ride, in salt kissed waves
A Blood red heat in beautiful chaos
A sensual release, unbidden unafraid
A naked dance, infected in time
In Histories cause, effected sublime
Dont doubt my meaning, authored by mine
That face I did find, whether hers or mine
An emptiness filled, for that goddess divine
Blurred and hazed, conscious of the mime

The Wolf, the man, the mirror
That reflective dreamcoat, grey, brown and white
Running, hunting in the darkness, in light
To sleep or wake as the man in grey cloth
Or as the wolf in mans clothing
By instinct humane, or wolfly domained
Alpha, beta, gamma, or none, sigmarily alone
Lest I be the sheep
In woollen coat of ignorant shame
Of the nudity of men, free or chained
in the bespectacled sadness, rosy faced
Of crudity and guilt, vanity, insanity
The scent of chase, humanly base, tabled and dined
Content for scraps at high humans ill design
Is it for man or wolf or both at once
To meat in haste, hurried to sate
Of sickness more, unglorified shame
Of health do I think in practical madness
With pseudo grin and howling speech
Shall the spirit decay, wither, I say,
Nay imminent death, forever aflame
Yay to have lived, as the wolf, the man, the mirror

A nightly escape
To sleep in thought, Of the day and the night
To sleep in wonder, Of work or of play
What do you dream, O maker of stories
green skies, blue trees, Or imaginary friends
A fantasy, a freak, A living narrative
In paralysed waking, A conscious blindfold
In purposeless meaning, A fake truth, lucid lie
Random paradox, rational rhyme, A key to action in realities theme
To dream in essay, poem or song
Live the day, fuel the night
For to dream is to live by day and by night
By sun and by moon do I fear to miss out

Oceanheart
A boy on a beach, spade in hand
A bucket to fill, dear Oceanheart,
A sky in his eyes, grounded carefree
A stranger comes,
Arms to enfold, intent unknown
fortune reigns, wide smile ensues,
That stranger is me

Love is dead and the world is a girl
Can the gentle warrior unsee
Clancy's calm offences wild and free
Shall we keep our broken lives
The shame you do not see
We live, will live in chaos removed
No suffering here of unquiet glee
Doubt not the danger beneath a glassy sea
For we don't quit, we are always to be
CHORUS
But Love is dead and the world is a girl
That's what they say but what is real
That Love is dead and our mothers too
You think youre a man, so who is the fool
What do you see among our ears
A child, a man, for both are here
Are we monster, or wretch
Unemotionally fulfilled
Shall we cry our voice unquietly
Give silent roar to understand
The distant war, the worlds sick soul
Of belief in love and will to choose
CHORUS
But Love is dead and the world is a girl
That's what they say but where's the truth
That Love is dead and our mothers too
You think youre a man, so who is the fool
I love true man, we love her more
I have loved her much, more than my share
Paved the way for some in makeup and hair
Killed mountains, tamed rivers, it's all there
What we built, yes, the hands of the man
That past is gone and yet ahead
We made it real, and believed it too
CHORUS
But Love is dead and the world is a girl
That's what they say so what is real
That Love is dead and our mothers too
You think youre men, but we are no fools
Weve fought and bled, died for our care
We're still here as men, so just be aware

Oysters today, Oysters tomorrow
Always on taste, never on borrow
For ones own body forever to dine
Be taut and trimmed, chilled or blanched
Moistened and juiced, when the liquid doth flow,
what shall a man do such small words on show
Tell tale of woe, think not, not so
Pray tell of types, of kinds, of breeds
Of Rock, of Pacific, all grown in salt weed
Or simply to say, oysters no sway
For me also, a half dozen each day

Mum
Teach me compassion
From guilty inattention
Kindness, Grace and the odd expletive
Love me you effin bastard
Cigarettes and iced coffee please
Not now, not again, but yesterday
Understand me you prick
Out of the chemical veil
My needs, my love, the ick
Live a little, authentic, and awake
Dance naked, unafraid
Howl at the moon, unfettered from chain
Freshly born, free from pain
Unabashed, young maid
At last, again and always
To the gift of life, thrice renewed
Ongoing, forever, perpetually say
Your face in the crowd, familiar, all over
Shall we grieve, rejoice
Remembered all the same
For at last I understand
The lesson from you
Not to be tamed
Il mio cuore e un oceano, vieni nuotare con me !
( My heart is an ocean, come swim with me ! )

That most sacred hug of all.
One's spirit for one's soul, primal, intrinsic
Of the closing of the eyes, an inward dream
Of the shutting down of the mind,
The ears, the mouth, the body
A union of emotions, heart, mind and soul.
Shane de Luca. September 2024
The infinite theatre of emotions
where ego sits
at the back, arms entwined
the cheapest seat around
patient and contrite, awaiting the call
driven by heart, at the whim of all.

Love born from need is a transaction. Need born from love is a gift.
Remain in the divine twilight
Conscious of the dark
Whether impending or dissipating
In light's anticipation, reprieve or rebirth
After all, The brighter the sweet light,
It seems, the darker, more bitter the shadow.
A soul's dilemma, a desire for balance
Better to remain in the divine twilight
Shane de Luca. February 2024
To the joy in grasping the universal concept of unconditional love. Of letting go, and becoming love in the purest form, from within to without, creation to end. To understanding the storytellers and truehearts of our written history.

The trick to finding love in everything is filtering it from the emotions, the ego, trauma and fear.

My mirror's authentic, How's yours?
Shane de Luca. December 2023
Your mirror's authentic, How's mine?
Shane de Luca. December 2023
How we can we expect to see the depth of someone, if we are not willing to see the depth of ourselves.
Every second is a miracle, an enchantment !. Be still in those seconds that we are here, be present and come to know the miracle.

Rumis field
Shall we meet on Rumis field
Cross the millenia divide
Embrace our inner goddess
And our inner gods
Am I enough ?
Can you say same
Not here for an audition
My existence is true
To what our future
Authentic or game
Shane de Luca. November 2024
The beloved mirror was nothing more
become naked and afraid, look deeper
into the abyss, the abyss gazed back
there you were, or was it me
bereft of ego, pure and clean
acceptance of all
but for this moment in time
love's abundance recoiled
as the serpent lies dormant
cool and still, patient and true
awaiting lifes next debate
existential and new.

Sat she still
Sat she there,
Thought, thought in the air
Lifes veil, conscious stare
Twin fish, funny Tish, butter hair
Calypso calm in summery air
Streaming eyes, Croatian blue
Tempest deep, dreaming sleep
Tranquil pond, ducklike fury
Oh dual fish, chaos dare !
Ocean whipped, waves beware !
Fierce heart, true spirit
Wordlover, truthteller
Grace, poise, wise care
Sat she still, on journey fair

Six tens
As I approach six tens allowed
A Halfway quest before the shroud
A life complete, not yet, not yet
A scaffold torn, warped and bent
Cragged in face, a scarred embrace
Strange history, estranged mystery
Of childless blame, spirited in core
No lament or cry, from unquiet voice
Reveller's at night remembered always
As authored and seen as worldly gifts
Inspired by influence, appreciated all the same
And humans discerned in vocation each day
As much as 20, 30, 40 some days
May i appreciate some less but more than often
And may I appreciate some more so, though less often
Shall i say wrong life, no never that way
A life once begun, may begin again and again
Six tens again, be not the writer gainsayed
To those on display, blessings and love always

Hysterics and honey
Love me, chase me, bring me fun
Drink me in no cause undone
Lose it all in harmony full shine
Shall wisdom remain in soul or mind
As symphony or snake of great need
Intrinsically me, practiced and weaved
No sacred thought of selfish deem
In crystal eyed madness of watery theme
Hysterics and honey woven between
A Sophia or Mary, Helen or Eve
Shall the ripples in flame of candlelit theme
Make disdain of said fortunate meme
No, no thought at all of unmagick make
When her eyes and mouth and body intake
Shane de Luca September 2026
Speak to me of the dark
not of the night
But fear, cause and affected
Of existence, of survival
Primal and bonded
Speak to me of spirit,
heartfelt and true
Of light and of soul
Grown tall and new
Shane de Luca. Jamuary 2024
Chrissys choice
3 weeks left, choice is made
Validated true, patience paid
Connected spirit, euphoric maid
The endless sleep, dead and gone
Meaning of life, a life in meaning
A life in service, dedicated soul
Forever beheld, not forgotten
Her heartsong now raised
A world so cruel, not so I say
Yet the question remains
Courage or not, the writer dismayed
To God and doctorman
Such pain did assuage
To young Chrissy I say
Well met dear lady, on fateful day
Shane de Luca February 2025
Dragonflies and Mermaids
Divine, well met
Fine health did let
Pretty face, sweet feet
Loves narrative shown
Mermaid, Siren, Damsel, distress
A lure in guise
Or allure if wise
A voice, a vibe, in sight, in feel
Not known, not yet, yet not unknown
Caves and forests, in all their breadth
Cutters and shutters
Sparks and stealth
A look both ways
All clear to part ways
Spirit now set to soar and sway
Dragonfly up for better days
Shane de Luca. January 2025
Princess Cat
From her tower she peered
Turquoise waters below
Berries at break, red lips aglow
Where was her prince
Why steed so slow
Was it so far from Greece
Gold fleece in tow
Words so few, no map to trace
Courage at hand, he came at pace
Sat she still, all pinoted and heat
On rose coloured wine, chocolate so sweet
Frogs she had kissed, to fear and woe
Little she did know
When would her Prince show
